Bloomin' Barbeque & BluegrassSevierville’s fantastic Bloomin’ BBQ and Bluegrass event is coming up May 14 -15! The streets will be filled with the savory smell of BBQ and the sound of delightful bluegrass music! What can we expect from this year’s event?

New Events!
All new on this year’s schedule is the mascot parade and dance competition on Friday evening. And of course we will welcome new bands, artists, cooks and more from far and wide!

There will be various food vendors and a food tent to satisfy everyone’s taste buds throughout the event! But at the center of the festival is the cook-off! BBQ teams from all over the Southeast will face off over their grills to produce the most mouthwatering BBQ for miles around! Already, more than 20 teams have entered, coming from as far as Pennsylvania! And for our young BBQ-ers, the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union Kids’ Que will take place on Friday!

The schedule is already filled with top-notch bluegrass musicians guaranteed to leave your toes tapping and your hands clapping! Bands include Brand New Strings, Jimbo Whaley, Blue Highway, Mountain Ruckus, Audie Blalock, Darrell Webb, Tony Rice Unit, and even the infamous Dan Tyminski Band, perhaps more familiar as the voices of the “Soggy Bottom Boys” in the movie “O Brother Where Art Thou?” Also, for aspiring musicians, the Mountain Soul Vocal Competition will take place on Saturday!

To display yet another facet of our fair city’s creativity, more than 15 unique craft booths will be displaying and selling their wares! From candles, to pottery, to handmade dulcimers and musical spoons, there is sure to be something for everyone!
