Calling All Bookworms

As most people will know, we have a brand-new gorgeous library being built for all of Sevier County! Having always been a bookworm, myself, I cannot hide that I am truly excited! The three floor, majestic, brick structure is expected to open with about 39,000 titles!

King Family Library- Artist's RenderingWhere is this new library?
It is located in the Municipal Complex off of Main Street at 508 High St. Go by and look! The outside is almost complete!

When is it opening?
Grand Opening is planned for May 14th, 2010! The day is sure to be filled with excitement! Look for more information as the day gets closer!

What makes this new library so great?

The first floor will include the circulation desk, a computer training lab, and three meeting spaces (with a fourth meeting space on the 2nd floor!) which will be available to local organizations! The second floor will include the Grand Reading Room, with a fireplace, and plenty of comfortable seating, as well as a Teen Space and Children’s Space! The third floor will house the History and Genealogy Center, finally allowed to expand and offer its rich resources to the community with room to breathe!
Also in the plans are a Café, which will likely offer coffee and simple lunch items!
